We’re the flip side. Like Janis I admire a great play just for the love of the game. Like Arlo, my wife is a true home fan and does not appreciate that kind of nonsense.

I must be strange, I find watching any sport boring. Participating I really enjoyed, especially sailing, as you could have a beer whilst racing.

I appreciate his appropriate color choices for their respective shirts: Navy Blue and Orange.

I used to print up the weekly football pool forms for my high school when I taught. The jocks then handed them out and continuously lost on them. I won the pool about 2-3 times a season. With 50-75 teacher playing each week, it made me some money and made some of the jocks pretty put out that they couldn’t beat a girl. My best bet, however, was when one of the jocks bet me early in the season that the Chiefs and Raiders would be the teams in the Super Bowl, since they were the two best, in his opinion. Somehow, he managed to overlook the fact that they were both AFL. He never paid.

I am happy to see that there are other people besides myself who dislike sports. I find watching any professional games on the tube boring. Of course, the multiple millions of dollars some of those clowns make is also disgusting. We have a saying here: The only people who can afford to attend football games live in Johnson County (Kansas). Those of us in Missouri can’t afford the price. Our taxes are too high from having to subsidize the stadiums.

Stopped watching sports years ago. Suddenly seemed silly to care about grown men playing a game, often men who have nothing to do with the state or city they are “playing for,” sponsored by booze companies, sometimes imported from other countries (the players and the booze).
