That’s how I met my ex-husband in high school. He kept showing up where I went to for English class.

When a boy in Junior High, which is what Middle School was called, wanted to meet me, he just walked right up to me and started a conversation.

Anthony may be stalkerish, but at least he knows to put the library book on the shelves and not try to shove it in the panel border like Elizabeth is trying to do in panel 3.

Does this kind of stuff actually go on in middle school?

Stalking must be legal in Canada.

She needs to be more aware of who keeps popping up in her surroundings.

I would guess his silent interest in her is being overstated so that we get the idea. I don’t see stalking at all, and I have been stalked.

Was the strip set at a time when stalking was considered normal? Since this is 1993, it is possible. At the time, Michael and Anthony would be watching Saved by the Bell, where Zack Morris’ pursuit of the girlfriend he believed he was destined to be with was similar to what Anthony is doing now.

First it was Gordon and Michael’s stalking of Allyson; now this.

All of you making stupid remarks about stalking should check out the reddit “Lets Not Meet” stories. Could teach you something about what stalking really is.

I can actually relate to Elizabeth. When I was her age, and a little older (and even now, as a matter of fact!), I couldn’t take a hint, if it were written on paper, wrapped around a brick, and thrown at my head.
