When having lived in Clallam County, Washington (1984-‘92) and Lewis County, Washington (’92-2012), the houses in which I grew up had respectively a wood stove for heating and two fireplaces. As for my apartment here in Clark County, Washington, an electric (or gas?) fireplace which I rarely use (I just throw some switch and don’t need wood or a lighter).

As Woody Allen (I think), put it, “I am at two with nature”.

Dry cleaners? You’re supposed to rinse it out in the closest creek.

I don’t know anybody around me that can change their own oil much less split their own firewood.

At least he’s getting out for some hard work and exercise. Two things he desperately needs.
