There is (was?) an EXXON station off I-85 at High Point, NC, that was known for good sushi. Haven’t been near High Point in a while so I don’t know if it is still there. Who knew?

There was a very good sushi place here in town but it went under a few years ago for multiple reasons. I didn’t eat there often, but enjoyed it when I did.

More the jolt from the wasabi sauce. More effective than the convince store’s burnt coffee to wake you into the present.

Only Brutus Thornapple would consider gas station food to be fine dining.

Gas station sushi. It’s a THING!

I didn’t think I’d like Sushi, but I was very, very wrong! Most of it is quite delicious, I just don’t like the ones that are really chewy…

Actually, sometimes those gas station places can be pretty good. However, some are just get food and you will get gas…..

these days, memories of how much i paid for sushi back in tokyo just make me wince in pain. now, we avoid all the snooty attitude and the expense by going to budget conveyor belt sushi places. the fish is just as good as “regular” sushi joints and they also offer cooked items for people like my wife, who doesn’t like most sushi…
