The teacher’s job is to leave out history. Yep, another subtly(?) political comment in this strip.
(I’m not complaining.)
I graduated HS in 1959. The history of the Civil War, WW I & WW II were covered. As I recall, the background, detail and time spent for the American Revolution and Civil War was much greater than the WWs.
Everything after 1800 has been cancelled.
Quite the gap between the latest news and the breaking news. That Constitutional Convention in 1787 might have been worth mentioning.
Uh, what school ever stopped teaching history at that point?
