Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle, the cow jumped over the moon, the little dog laughed to see such a sight and the dish ran away with the……..spork?
Did those things become “sporks” when they started making them out of plastic? I first heard it when my kids were in school. When I was a kid, I was told that (properly rendered in good metal – both usable and reusable) was a runcible spoon.
Like eating soup with chopsticks. Once you break up the chopsticks and put them in the soup they get in the way of the spork. (I did say soup WITH chopsticks)

Ah yes, the spork, it attempts to serve as both a spoon and a fork and fails on both counts.

Upon hearing that, the cat looks like the diddle went out of his fiddle.

Runcible Spoon – a fork curved like a spoon, with three broad prongs, one of which has a sharpened outer edge for cutting.

Inaccurate cartoon lacking the jumping cow and laughing dog. We are being diddled.

Just as long as I can eat it with a spork."

Maybe the cat can play the fiddle at their wedding.
