Have we really become so fragile? In Europe, The War began in 1938; in America it was “not our problem” until December 7, 1941. The news was far, far worse than the manufactured drama that passes for “news” today.
Look at the ridiculous trash that passes as political news but has progressively less to do with our lives. I check the local news for things I need to know and leave the circus to put on its lion taming and dogs riding ponies alone.
The first few lines may be important, i don’t ignore them. Of course the weather forecast makes some sense and doesn’t really bring you down. But looking at the rest ain’t good for your heart and your hair color (if any left).
A neighbor I had years ago listened only to the Christian TV network 24-7. She said the Bible gave her all the news she needed. Perhaps that kept her blood pressure down.

I can’t watch the news anymore. I read it…less traumatic and don’t have to put up with all the stupid “Breaking News” ….sensationalism sells…

To say current news media is in a sorry state is to insult sorry states.

Hard to find real news these days – it’s all opinion, talk shows and hosts who interrupt their guests.
