You’re going to go dormant for the winter, but will nature let you?

This could be a good (the best) time for her to make some changes around the house.

Natural processes are at work when the trees go dormant, Wiz. Doesn’t always work that way for people.

Before you settle down for a long winters nap, rake the leaves

The trees may get to go dormant for the winter, but winter will not let you go dormant. No! The winter is cruel. Cold, merciless, without compassion and free of empathy. Will you survive the Cruel Winter Storm?

Sort of ironic that about the time trees and such are shedding things to get ready for winter, humans are putting more stuff on. It’s too bad we couldn’t ever figure out a way to wear dead leaves. It would be perfect.

I prefer to hibernate in summer when it’s so hot and miserable I don’t even want to move. I start becoming much more active in fall when the weather cools down to reasonable temperatures well below 75 degrees F.

I wouldn’t mind a bit if I could hibernate through the winter.

You are most definitely correct. Predators may kill prey because that is their nature and that’s how they survive. They will not kill you or screw you over for a dollar like your fellow man might…..
