No…all learning is good. My Grandfather who came who came to the US in 1918 at the 1st WW said they can kill your body but not your mind, so learn everything you can.
And right now it takes only around 65.3 minutes for a message to be sent and replied, not counting the time it takes for the Jupiterians to form a response. This is up from the 65.4 minutes a few months ago.
Yes. I well remember that fateful night in 1963 when Jupiter was looming over us. The panic in the streets. Fears that it was a Russian plot. People rushing to take religious orders. The rest were jumping into the backs of vans to do it while they could. Or maybe I’m not remembering it quite right. After all, it was the 60’s.
In my experience knowledge for it’s own sake is often the best experience to have. Otherwise, why does “Trivial Pursuit” and the TV game “Jeopardy” continue to prosper?
I agree with sherlock Holmes. Worthless knowledge is just that.
That any civilized human being in this nineteenth century should not be aware that the earth travelled round the sun appeared to be to me such an extraordinary fact that I could hardly realize it.
“You appear to be astonished,” he said, smiling at my expression of surprise. “Now that I do know it I shall do my best to forget it.”
“To forget it!”
“You see,” he explained, “I consider that a man’s brain originally is like a little empty attic, and you have to stock it with such furniture as you choose…”
“But the Solar System!” I protested.
“What the deuce is it to me?” he interrupted impatiently; “you say that we go round the sun. If we went round the moon it would not make a pennyworth of difference to me or to my work.”and yes I know…

Since Jupiter is so close, maybe the Jupitarians will send the monolith back in order to usher us towards a new level of evolution. We could use it.

As they say in Annie Hall, it almost never comes up in casual conversation.

The gravity pull of Jupiter is enough to liquify diamonds. More useless info.

Could Jupiter’s intense gravity be causing the unusual weather on earth?
