As any 2 and a half to 3-year-old knows, when you lose something it most likely is hidden under the bed! Apparently why do big teenagers like Michael have forgotten that!
Reminds me of when my sister came to visit. My son was maybe 3 1/2. We had been out the night before and when my sister woke up, she had laryngitis. She was whispering to my son telling him she had lost her voice. Very seriously, my son asked, “Do you know where you put it last?” This, of course, was the question we would ask him when he couldn’t find a toy, so it was sound reasoning to him. (No pun intended)
April: “I told you kids to pick up your clothes. And who left the wet towels on the bathroom floor? I swear, sometimes I feel like just going on strike. What would you all do if I went on strike, huh? What would you do? Answer me! I am talking to you! You know what, that is what I am going to do. I will go on strike and you can all try living without me. How you going to handle that, huh, huh….”
Teenagers can scan, read the syntaxes and do parallel activities while riding a 2 wheeler. But find it diffilcutk to follow the instructions on the pack.
So the kids old enough to drive, old enough to date, old enough to babysit, old enough to have a part time job, but too stupid to make dinner? Is that a Canook problem or just a tired Meme?
Mom and Dad failed to teach these two teens basic skills since they were old enough to walk. I have video of a friend’s 2YO doing simple things in the kitchen with Mom.
She looks worse than she could have because she has her tongue stuck out during her cough fits. Gross. Ever heard of coughing into your arm or behind your hand, Elly? Then use the hand sanitizer on your hands. Yeah, I know this was drawn 30 years before COVID but there were waterless hand sanitizers back then. Now that masks are almost mainstream, I am seeing people put on masks when they are having a cold, coughing or sneezing. It’s flu season now so I am seeing more masks on now. Both sick people and people trying to protect themselves from getting sick. So masks seem to be viewed as handy now rather than a social taboo.
