It is impossible to pick a favorite image again today , all of them are just precious , ?? but his " dreamy " expression in the bottom fourth one and that " grin " in the next one to it is so lovable : )
A dog bath here is like what happened this morning – it was raining very, very hard during our first morning walk of about a mile. We came in soaked. I wiped my dog down well with a microfiber towel and called it a bath. I will be taking her to the hospital for her therapy dog work today, and I will hear several people ask me if she just had a bath. I will say, nah, it was raining. Beagles really don’t smell like other breeds and since she is only outside on a leash, she doesn’t roll in anything. I used to bathe previous dogs in the shower, and depending on the particular dog, it could be quick or quite a battle. I used to take two beagles in the shower when I had two – if they saw me grab the bottle of dog shampoo, they would not cooperate at all. I had to finally leave baby shampoo in the shower, get towels in there first, then put leashes and collars on them and get them into the bathroom. I had to use the leashes to get them into the shower, and then drop them over the top of the door so they wouldn’t get wet. Those two really hated showers, even though I used a 6’ hose and was very gentle with them. One previous dog liked to be bathed outside with a hose, cold water and all. She tended to run hot, so it worked for her. She also didn’t mind the shower routine in the winters. My guess is she was part Husky.

If Calvin would have tried to do with his mother when getting him to take a bath, odds are that it would end up failing miserably.
