I’m afraid I don’t get this one.

I once worked for a gas pump manufacturer. I still don’t know why gas is measured down to 1/1000 of a gallon. That’s about a teaspoon worth of gas which is just enough to move an SUV about 72 feet – enough to get to the next set of gas pumps.

Never let a data analyst loose with an Excel spreadsheet within finger’s reach or this kind of nonsense ensues.

If you don’t give them full sized chocolate bars he will play commercials and game show snippets outside your door all night.

Shell Oil (UK) cleared about $9B in the 3rd quarter, more than twice the profit in Q3 last year. A good part of that money will go to stock buy-backs and dividend payments rather than lower prices or clean energy. Other oil companies suffered the same way money-wise this year. Now you know the rest of the story as regards why gas costs $$$. (Hint: It ain’t Biden or the Democrats, maybe not even the GOP.)
