One of my doctor’s offices is like this. I told the person leading me in, “Wait, I have to get some bread crumbs out.”

Had that problem at one facility. They moved into an even more convoluted rabbit warren than their old building, but did not even think to have directions signs made. Took a lot of very frustrated and vocal patients to get their attention.

I’ve never encountered this problem. Other doctors, yes, but every dentist I’ve ever used had his own practice and a simple small office.

My dentist is in a converted old Victorian home. Usually, I’m led to a station on the outside of the maze of rooms and cubicles. I do get lost if brought in further.

My ophthalmologist’s office has quite a warren of rooms too. However, theirs is more straightforward with signs leading to the lobby as well.

Ain’t it the truth! That applies to almost all medical practice offices! If only they’d leave some strong cheese near a the exit so we could “smell” our way out.

Seems to me nearly all dentist have their assistant show me back to the receptionist. I wonder if it is to set up the next visit or to be sure I pay the bill.
