But not in Froglandia. It was common in Froglandia for people to remain indoors during cold weather, or to dress very warmly and only remain out as long as absolutely necessary. It remains a mystery, to this day, how they were able to prepare for cold weather in a fashion that was adequate to remove the necessity of risking exposure and frostbite.

Depends on where the frostbite is and which limb or digit is affected! Some parts and pieces are detrimental to one’s survival, so discretion is advised!

Over at the Froglandia Bathmat Factory, there’s a wide variety of very sharp pocket hack saws, knives and tools that will make the experience less painful! Also the First Aid aisle is abundantly stocked for all your needs!

We hold no responsibility for the results that may occur!

Iodine is a bluff for the win and numb feelings about frontier ideas and resuce.

St. Barnard martinas, help, help. Carry a flare gun please.

Is that why there are so many peg-leg imprints in the fossil record? I thought that was just kids on stilts trying to throw Saber Toothed Tigers off the trail.

This fellow here has been through the grinder himself. Sure, initially he was quite disheartened after the amputation, just below the arm pits. But now that he has been outfitted with his very own drone, he is seeing things with a renewed perspective. Now it’s not only Jack Frost who is nipping at your toes. He’s all the buzz around town.

You really need to read about Shackleton to see what people were like back then.

The guy could be a scarecrow for the crop shown. Scarecrows stay outside for Long Cold hours times minutes.

It pains me just to say this, but there have indeed been notable cases of this sort, if not always attributed to frostbite, which might more commonly cost a toe or a few, or maybe a finger or fingers.

And in the animal kingdom, gnawing a leg or paw off to get free of a trap or snare is well known, too. A friend wondered how it came about that a mother-fox he was monitoring by motion-sensor cameras on his land came to be three-footed.

I think I could never self-amputate, however, but would rather choose to die! I’m the type that faints at the sight of blood, or nearly so….

This wasn’t mentioned in “The White Cliffs of Dover” by Vera Lynn. That was the only historical record I ever had.
