Our family Black Lab had a standing appointment with a squirrel every morning in MKE to play. One AM, I took her early because she had diarrhea. When my parents left at the usual time, the squirrel was waiting on a porch rail, chittering at them. I swear, it was asking where Pax was, because they had a standing appointment.
No, she never caught it. She would have been the first to tell you that the game was chase, not catch.
