Don’t worry Mr. Dad, lately when they introduce a guest on SNL I wonder who in the world most of these people are!

I still enjoy listening to the Ink Spots.

It happened a long time ago. “Hey mom! Did you know Paul McCarthy was in a group before Wings?”

That’s nothing, some kids today don’t even know what a typewriter is or who the president is, can’t write their name, or even read.

1) That doesn’t look like a Beatle cut.

2) Everybody still knows the Beatles. You should have gone with the Blues Magoos or Moby Grape or somebody like that.

Had Sterling been with Wallace, he’d have rolled in the seaweed.

As I remarked on another script for a long time ago, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Free Bird is 50 years old.

Oh, it happened years ago. Teacher friend of ours said a student asked her: “What was the name of the band Paul McCartney was in before Wings?”

I’m 18 and I have had this happen to me.

Okay, how old is Will Henry? This refers to a very popular musical group in my youth. They were always dapper with combed clean hair. It was just longer than men’s hair of the decade. Silly that long hair on men was such a big deal then.

It’s actually here. I have no idea as to who the popular singers/entertainers are today…..

I feel dad’s pain. When at work people ask what music I would like their phone to play they never have access to what I fancy. No Zappa, No Zombies, No prog rock from the early 70s…

I can, sadly, relate.

Surprisingly (to some of you, not me) a lot of people under the age of 50, or 30, or even 20 know and appreciate the music of the Beatles. My great-nephews are in their teens and love Revolver and Abbey Road. All depends on what kids are exposed to.

Think of all the money Wallace is saving by not buying all those expensive kelp shampoos.

Is it “I feel old” day. Working Daze comments had a whole section about how people don’t remember Abbott & Costello and Laurell & Hardy.

You know, the band with the guy who sounds like Wakko Warner.

They were a terrible band anyway; Wallace isn’t missing out.

Dad, time to stream “Yellow Submarine” for Wallace to watch – just don’t let Sterling see it, it will mess with his mind even more than it already is.

I teach 8th graders who have no idea who Charlie Brown and Snoopy are.
