Texas was it’s own country, too, for roughly ten years, and our beaches are all open to the public. In fact, if erosion of the shoreline occurs, private property owners next to the beach lose enough area from their lots to maintain the public beaches.

I guess Elvis never had a show outside North America because of travel expenses were too expensive then?

That Elvis fact, as weird as it sounds, is true. It does reveal another strange fact, though: the Hawaiian islands are technically part of North America.

Having grown up in a small Alabama town, my friend James couldn’t wait to tell us all about life in California, where he was stationed.

“The malls are massive, and the restaurants are great,” he said. Then he grinned. “I even went to a topless bar.”

    “Really?” said his mother, surprised.

“What do they do if it starts to rain?”

He did do a concert in Hawaii, which if I’m not mistaken, is not in north America.

No private beaches in Oregon, either.

The official state flag of California has a bear and the words, “California Republic,” to this day.

Wasn’t Elvis’s manager the one who kept him in this country?

A recent study found that California has the highest rate of Depression and Infidelity in America.

It’s a sad state of affairs.

I watched the Elvis movie on PPV last weekend. According to the movie, “Colonel” Parker didn’t book overseas concerts because he wasn’t a U.S. citizen, and therefore had no passport. He couldn’t leave the country, so he wanted Elvis to stay stateside in order to keep control. Very sad.

This quote from today’s BBC article on the launching of the Artemis rocket to the Moon, raises an interesting question:

“Today, we got to witness the world’s most powerful rocket take the Earth by its edges and shake the wicked out of it,” said Mike Sarafin, Nasa’s Artemis mission manager.

Does this mean that the manager of this very important project is a Flat-Earther? Cause a sphere doesn’t have any edges that I’ve ever noticed.

They may not be private beach by law in Mexico, but I guarantee that if you try to go in some beaches in the Rivera Maya without being a guest of the hotel “owning” them they won’t let you get close. Resorts make sure they are closed to the general public.

All beaches in Hawaii are public – at least they’re supposed to be. Homeowners and hotels try their best to restrict access to them.
