Working in a South Asian country, I was keen that there would be health insurance. I was promised that was part of the package. The amount, however, turned out on arrival to cover only around $800 worth of healthcare bills for a single billing, with the amount capped at $1000 per year.
For a family of 5.
We exceeded this most years.
Turns out, the client we worked for was paying for it. And the client executive who signed it off, also was an executive with the healthcare company.
So with businesses cutting back health benefits so much each year, what really is the incentive to stick with a job because of insurance? Oh, for a decent universal health system.
Yeah the Healthcare system here in the U.S. is crazy like this strip. Of course, we could easily correct this, but then certain demographics would start yelling “Socialism” at the top of their respective voices, and that would be the end of that, as it has been for a while now.
I think the problem with Dirk Raider’s rising cost of Health care is Pam!! What is it with this hitting and hurting, Pam is dangerous. She’s got us Stormtroopers on the run, with guns, and knives. We’re running for our lives. She is running up the cost of our health care plan. Oh My!!!!
The majority of people who comment in the Brewster Rockit comic are among the most annoying, carping, whining and mentally challenged morons that is has been my privilege not to know personally. What a bag of self-serving twits who also likely think that the mere act of showing up at a job fulfills their entire moral and ethical responsibility so as to receive the paycheck the want and deserve.

That is quite a cutback. Can they at least also get a get well balloon?

Corrupt, or simply cheap? Why not be both?

80%? I thought troopers had all their medical bills paid. I think fragging may be in order.

This reminds me of the eye care plan Brewster had a couple of years ago. What did it cover?
Squinting.

So what’s the deductible on a lollipop from a doctors visit?

Well, the new health plan should have a marked effect on Trooper performance. Dirk better make sure he leads from the rear, far in the rear.

What they really need is something to cover funeral expenses.

That is the plan that Florida’s Senator Rick Voldemort promised during his Campaign to implement as his New version of Social Security and Medicare.
And yet, the GQP retirees in this state STILL Voted for him. Again.
