This makes me wonder why the teacher is even telling Nancy about a bottleneck in learning? Does it mean the teacher is not going to assign Nancy a ton of homework tonight because she has already learned her quota for today?
As the lecture continues, Nancy will indeed get sick, and physically ill, as she begins suffering withdrawal symptoms from not being able to eat and watch TV.

When the student is ready, the teacher appears, as the saying goes.
In this case when the student is ready the analogy appears.

Just go along with whatever the teacher says, and you can leave.

Subjective time is way different for kids. If they were teaching proportionally, first grade classes would be about an hour long.
