Lucy does let Charlie try and kick the football. What she doesn’t tell him is that the football is made of solid iron and that Charlie breaks his foot trying to kick it.

Never have I seen Lucy look more innocent. I think this time, you can trust her Charlie Brown.

I always thought that, just once, Lucy should have held the football without pulling it away, and that Charlie Brown would fall down anyway because he couldn’t adjust to that.
