I doubt Santa’s beard would ever get to be 100 foot long, as we lose hair every day of our lives. Before any hairs reached that length, they would have fallen out. Plus Santa would have died and his hair would have quit growing. So, I vote “Not”.
Merry Christmas to ALL and good wishes for a better year in 2023. Several of you who post here, I feel like we’ve became Friends in the sense of sharing a laugh and caring about what’s going on in each other’s lives as friends do. Steve and Chihal, I know you don’t celebrate Christmas but I send goodwill to you too. I hope Chihal returns soon and tones it down just a bit. I apologize to any I’ve offended this year and wish the best for you also. Duke, I wish the best for you too and I hope we can be civil with each other from now on. To ALL, let’s try to cut each other some slack even if we don’t care for what they have to say. After all we ARE allegedly adults. Just because you CAN insult someone doesn’t mean you SHOULD be a hateful Shrew. It endears you to no one, in fact it has quite the opposite effect! Peace to all who wish to be peaceful.
So all Santa has to do to bring presents is drop his long beard down the chimney, no fires please, and then elves slide down the beard and deliver the presents! If an elf gets caught, then he hides motionless in plain sight—- the Elf on the Shelf! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
My understanding used to be that the Santa Claus as we know him today first made a widespread appearance in Clement Clarke Moore’s poem, “A Visit from Saint Nicholas”, published in 1823, now known as “Twas the Night Before Christmas”.
As an agnostic, I really don’t celebrate Christmas! However I do wish all my friends here on RBION a heartfelt Happy Holidays and good wishes to all for 2023!

Here’s a Hawaiian language fact: Even though the language doesn’t have a ‘T", it does have a few words with a ’T’ in them – like Tutu (Grandmother).

Mrs Claus was invented as early as the 1870s. So Santa was a bachelor for 50 years or more before settling down

Even with those letter substitutions, how do you go from the two-syllable “Christmas” to the five-syllable “kalikimaka”??

The “Christmas TV specials” are a thing of the past, unless you get them PPV. It’s really sad that the big wigs of TV, have gotten that money hungry.
