I’ve made numerous rail trips between London and it’s airports and cities to the south in the past, and three rail trips within Scotland, between Scotland and England, and within England within the past 3 years. The London area trips all went fine. The trip within Scotland also went fine. Both of the other two had issues, but the rail line also gave a half price refund based on a delay of more than half an hour in one case (caused by a broken down train ahead that took a while to get around) and in another a train that had to stop short of the destination because of a mechanical fault. In that one they provided free access to any train that could get us there and gave a full refund. The system isn’t as good as that in India, but it’s not bad at all.

Gee, how new is the other job center guy? He must not be familiar with Capp.

You should give him a job at the job center, he spends more time there than you do!

From I’ve heard of the British rail system, this seems accurate.

I bet Andy has never taken the Long Island Railroad and Amtrak. They’re notorious for being very late.

Al’s got a point there as to trains not being on time.

A slow, delayed train that is behind schedule will still, eventually, show up…unlike Andy at any job site.

The lack of punctuality of the British Rail system has been a thing for a very long time. https://youtu.be/DebqzbeY4aM
