Why not ask Marcy to be a bridesmaid or at least the maid of honor?

I feel like it’s Marcy who’s stopped being the friend. It’s Nicole’s wedding, not hers.

Interesting how the phone has a question mark above it…

We didn’t have a wedding party for this reason. Even though we had people who were ready, willing, and able, we didn’t want them to feel like they were working for us. Everyone was a guest and it was a great party.

Marcy, do you want to be a bridesmaid?

Marcy’s more stressed than she ever was as an ER nurse!

The Cobb-Glover clan is so big that they have to rent arena-sized venues for family events. You would think there would be enough females in this group to give Nicole the bridal army she needs.

DIALOGUE FROM LAST MONTHS OF “FOR BETTER Or FOR WORSE”

JOHN—“I wouldn’t go in there if I were you”

GROOM:“Is something the matter?”

JOHN:"It’s a wedding.There’s ALWAYS something the matter.A button missing,the flowers wilting,the catererdidn’t call back….

GROOM:“Maybe we should elope”

JOHN:“What,and spoil all the fun?”

Thankfully this whole wedding party deal is not a thing in this country. I was “maid of honour” sort of for my friend when she got married. Duties: Help her get the dress on, show up to wedding, have fun, hold her little bag of ‘just in case’ items during ceremony. That’s it.

THIS is why she was single.

So is was a veiled hint ;) If Marcy had as many, or any sisters as brothers, they’d be able to make up the wedding party.

A brand new friend would NOT want to be in a wedding party. They would barely know each other. Odd.

This whole wedding story is making the characters seem very unlikeable. I didn’t get the bachelor party bit and now I’m saddened by this. The priorities seem superficial…
