Quite the speed bump

well hellooo you’re in the middle of the road!

Now which would be the road-hog?

Rocky…um…turtley road.

“WHADAYA think this is, a road or something?!”

Is the turtle a back seat driver? – Before they invented the back seat?

I wonder if there was a turtle-crossing sign posted?

He hasn’t invented the steering wheel yet.

That wheel has some suspension!

It looks like someone’s insurance rates are going up!

There should be a sign that reads:" Caution!! Turtle is Cross!!"

I sometimes feel like the turtle when I have to share the road with SUVs. To them, smaller cars are like speed bumps.

Not the first pot hole in history. De[ending on the season, perhaps a pot bump?

I went to pilot training at Moody AFB which is right next to the big “O” in Okefenokee. We would occasionally have swamp critters crawl up on the air base. Every now and then we would get position reports over our aircraft radios on turtles that decided to sun themselves either on the runway or one of the taxiways.

The base usually dispatched an airman in a truck to go out, pick up the turtle and toss it back into the swamp.

One day as I was flying along, I heard the announcement. “Attention in the area. Runway 18 Right at Moody Air Force Base is closed. Alligator on the runway.” Apparently wrasslin’ ‘gators was not in the airman’s job description.

Get outta the middle of the road pokey but!!

The Conner’s TV show had a similar concept in a recent episode and it has been pulled and been considered inappropriate. I saw the episode, but I admit I didn’t know about the incident in Wisconsin that set off the call to pull the episode.

Install a ramp, John. Hilarity ensues…

Turtle’s lucky it wasn’t Fred Flintstone in his car.

We don’t need speed bumps in our area, that is what armadillos are for.
