What Wiley says in the last panel possibly belies what he said in the second panel. If he’s having trouble finding his receipt in a receipt organizer, maybe he just isn’t using it right. Or maybe it doesn’t work like he thought it would.
I keep receipts paid by my bank card until they show on my statement. Ones with a purchase for something with a guarantee is stapled to the instructions. Out of pocket medical bills I keep a year.
I love those places that keep your name on digital file. Seven years after I had my lifetime muffler installed, I simply gave them my name and the new one was free.
I sent my CPA scans of about 6 pieces of paper every year for my taxes. He usually calls me with results before I get home from the UPS store. I don’t keep a printer anymore. I am good with electronics, but printers and I have finally agreed to stay away from each other. It’s probably because I don’t use them often enough. I think I have been paying about $2.50 a year for the scanning and they also email it for me.

Ah, yes! The old shoebox stuffed with receipts that my parents would hand over to the tax preparer.

I keep my receipts with their respected paper works. CC receipts with the monthly bill statements; cash and debt receipts with the bank statements.

The one you throw away will be the one you will need next.

You got to admit though that the receipt organizer did what it was designed for. It kept all your receipts in one specific place.

So he turned it into a receipt disorganizer?

I stopped keeping receipts when they started using thermal transfer paper for them. Six months later and all you have is a short piece of white paper.

Shouldn’t you “ceipt” before you can “re-ceipt”? Just asking.

I throw receipts away, primarily because I don’t plan to return things. An ex-roommate was constantly buying things and taking them back…

I keep receipts for items that may need to be taken back on a clipboard. Other receipts are trashed.

Didn’t know they made those. I use my wallet and top dresser drawer.
