I remember seders where the entire service was recited by older men in rapid-fire Hebrew. Hard to relate to. In my late 20s and even into my 30s, I was sometimes still at the “kids” table, but I didn’t mind at all. I’d entertain the real kids with my version of the Passover story — a mix of my own knowledge (things I grew up with and remembered from Sunday school), information from my own reading, and Cecil B. DeMille.
