If it worked for us Baby Boomers it will work with kids today. Just like we did, they will get hungry. The parent needs to stick to their guns and tell them there will be no food until the morning breakfast. They will not starve to death. And it will teach them a lesson!

A lot of us grew up with those choices, eat or go hungry. We all survived and learned not to be so fussy. I wound up willing to try anything once, just to see if I liked it or not. Raw oysters, squid, raw fish and host of interesting foreign foods later I’m glad for the experience. The only thing I won’t try is insects. I know, people all over the world eat bugs like crickets and dragonflies, but even I have my limits. I think it’s the exoskeleton that turns me off. I know, lobsters and crabs have exoskeletons, too, but you don’t have to eat them, just crack them open to get to the goodies inside.

To this day, we have always made the kids, kids friends and grandkids take two tastes of whatever was made. If they didn’t like it, they didn’t have to eat it. There was always peanut butter. I love how our grandkids make gramma take at least two tastes as well.

With the occasional, regular kids choice night to help things on

If she’s a psychologist/psychiatrist she’s certainly displaying very limited thinking and analytical skills
