I’ve given so many baths, even as a nursing student. I was a CNA to help pay for what I needed at college. In the hospitals and nursing home, I was on the receiving end. At Rancho Springs, one RN braided my hair so it didn’t snarl. That’s dedication.
She definitely looks better as a redhead. Nice work on the shading and highlights!
Usually, I have my own private nurse to help - my wife was an RN for 47 years. When I have been in the hospital, she has stayed during the day. The staff appreciated her help.
Steel wool would suffice according to the hospital administrators budget and the first choice of the patient. She will kiss it and make it all better and then everyone will be happy
In 2020 back surgery gone bad left me in the hospital for 45 days.
I would lying if I said my favorite part wasn’t the sponge bath from 2 20-year-old nursing students (and yes, in that setting “favorite” was a pretty low bar, but still…….)
After my triple bypass heart surgery, I had to stay in post-op because there were no beds available in CCU. Once I was transferred to CCU, two young women (they looked like teenagers) came and gave me a bath. It was somewhat embarrassing.
Can’t help but think about the Faye Dunaway character in “Little Big Man” when she’s giving dustin hoffman a bath “I will avert my eyes at the proper time…”.
So Nurse….I have a question. Now I respect your professionalism here…and this is PURELY a hypothetical, PROFESSIONAL question, but say you are washing breasts…I mean, they could be anyones breasts, again, ahem, PROFESSIONAL question here…would you, say, wash them one at a time, paying close attention to all the, ahem, areas and parts, or would you wash them both at the same time with LOTS OF SUDS!!??!?

Maybe I was in the wrong hospitals but nurses never offered to do that.

I thought Scrub Nurses worked in surgery?
Speaking of, I guess a successful surgery isn’t the only hospital outcome that has a Happy Ending.

You don’t want to get the sponge dirty, if you only have one. Might I suggest a tongue bath?

Sounds great, except for that part about the hospital buying “a” new sponge. Just the one? I don’t want to know!
