I didn’t take care of my goldfish much and my mother took great care of hers. Hers would die and mine would just keep on keeping on!! Overdoing is not always the thing to do. The same goes with watering and feeding your plants on an hourly basis, it just means you are killing them with kindness.
I know it’s not helping to teach the needed lesson to the kids here…but honestly, I can’t fault her for having such a trait. Honestly, I could see myself doing the same, unable to just stand by and let something die from neglect like that, as that just seems cruel.

Please do not over feed fish. Also, that tank needs some plans, even if they are fake.
