What you do is tell them you found some money and leave a phone number that way nobody but the owner would know how much

A bunch of us were living together years back and no money between paychecks and little food. We had to use what money we had for a car part. Standing in line at the store, I spot a tenner on the floor. Put my foot over it and go to “tie my shoe”. It was enough to buy food till payday.

Sigh…….

If that was all you had in your budget for the month and it’s just the beginning of the month, you would like to have it back.

Panel 4 is interesting. Don’t think I’ve ever seen Abby from that straight-on angle.

For some people, $50 is everything that they have.

Still on Len’s side. Not sure how I’d handle it if I found a thousand dollars. But I might be guided by the experience of the character played by Arthur Hill, in the Alfred Hitchcock Presents episode, The Man Who Found the Money (1960). No good deed ever went unpunished.
