What happened to Dill? When with Alice, he’s always been on par, both in height and body shape?

A fake flake, created by feverish pre-school imaginations.

Or else, Mr. Otterloop did a snow job on the flake.

Finally, at long last — the Cold Miser origin story! I’ve been waiting for this for almost 50 years!

If Alice and the kids really want some snow, I can oblige. We have quite a bit to spare!

Some people get stuck in the snow, while he just sucks in the snow.

I’m pretty sure the snowflake melted on contact with any part of his mouth.

Cute. But don’t blame Mr. Otterloop, kids. The poor snowflake clearly committed suicide-by-Otterloop rather than be captured and killed by a gang of hooligans!

Winter has really set in…..9 new inches on top of the 12 already on the ground. Had to shovel the driveway twice. Snow doesn’t get to me but the cold and wind does. Right now -2 and supposed to get to -15.

“Alice, it’s time to come in.” OH how those words bring back a time, in my life and in the world, when little folk could and would go outside and have a life of their own with their friends, explore, learn, imagine, and then go to the comfort and safety (ideally but not always) of their homes. Six little words and how hugely evocative!
