Yeah, while Abbey might have a point about this, she’s also clearly not only trying to force him into doing something he doesn’t want to do or feel comfortable doing (the absolute WORSE way to be doing it, and as a therapist she should know that), but she’s also heavily doubting his sincerity or anything he’s contributed so far without any real evidence to prove it, just that she claims to “know better.” I mean, sure, she’s been married to him for a good while and picked up a few things about how he ticks, but that still doesn’t mean she knows how his mind works better than he does, and implying as such is more than a little insulting for anyone.
