Here the local tv evening news half hour has expanded to 3 separate half hour slots. Almost all repeat the first. And as to calling itself ‘local’, about a third of it covers other states and national events, which have already taken up most of the time in so-called ‘national’ news. And, of course, all this basted heavily with ads that have little value to most viewers. Pitiful.

I stopped watching the news in the mid 70s. And I don’t miss it at all.
