One night back in the 80’s, I was driving through a blizzard in Utah. I passed through a small town off the freeway, looking for a gas station. It was 9 at night, and the entire place, all 8 blocks of it, was pitch-black. No house or apartment lights, no street lights, no people outside, nothing. I physically heard the Twilight Zone music as I passed back out and returned to the freeway, still in need of gas for the car and still in the middle of the blizzard…
Growing up in North Dakota – I remember being mesmerized by this view. From the back with no seat belts, I would squeeze between the two front seats to get as much of the view of the windshield as possible – while my dad drove through the snow.
Oh, man! I had a night like this with my Dad once. Driving somewhere in the dark after supper, with the snow flakes flying to either side of the windshield. Me pretending they were stars and planets in outer space. Thanks, Will, for this.

Mr. McLellan being Jeff Gordon? I would’ve thought Dale Earnhardt, Sr. (because of the mustache).

But can he do the Kessel run in 12 parsecs? (Yes I know a parsec is a measure of distance. Just go with the joke please.)

The thing I like about driving in the snow is that I don’t have to do it.

From experience, the Speed Limit is not a safe speed during blizzard conditions.

First Star Wars movie nostalgic flashes. Which of the three is Chewbacca? Because Wallace is Han Solo.

Sensible in the snow to drive even less than the speed limit.

Might want to put it into sub warp speeds during a white out snow storms regardless of the posted city limits….

I wouldn’t call it a blizzard from looking at panels 1 and 3.

I’ve always had to concentrate on not getting motion sick while driving in the snow at night.

Who the hyper drive is “Jeff Gordon”? Nothing like needing to search the web to understand a comic strip…

Drive the speed limit in a New England winter at your own peril!

I’m with ya, Wallace. And it was like that even before Star Wars debuted.
