My father and mother were barely 33 and 30 respectively when they had my older brother; barely 34 and 31 when they had me.

More and more lately I’ve been catching a glimpse of some old guy looking back at me in the mirror for just a split second or so. Anyone else having these defective mirror problems?

Age is a state of mind. Not a visual thing at all. Also, ignore all those joints. They are telling you untrue things. So just ignore them.

I always knew that I would get old someday, I just didn’t know it would happen this soon.

When I was raising my own offspring I was able to play all their sports with them, now with seven grandkids whenever they invite me to mix it up with them my mind perks up and says, “Sure! I can still do that!” While my body grumbles, “Try it and die fat boy!”

So that means Liz is only 12 years old and Anthony must be also, but yet they had their first kiss and going dating at the movies and holding hands? I tell you times have changed! When I was in Grade 7 and 12 years old in the early 70’s there was no way I was going to get serious with a girl. I didn’t start dating until I was 16 and got a used car. Which I thought these kids were at least 15 or 16!

I’ve been told that I look younger than I am. I attribute some of it to good genes (my parents always looked younger) and some to the fact that my daughters are so young in comparison (I was 38 and 40 when they were born: one is now in college & the other will be starting college in the fall). Oh, and my husband & I will be celebrating our 38th anniversary this fall.

Big deal, I’ve been married almost 40 and have 3 kids in their 30s, plus 3 grandchildren.

Wait a minute… I thought Elizabeth was 14…?

Goin’ on 27 years myself! And my husband and I get mistaken for people in their 20’s all the time. We chalk it up to good genes. :D

I was recently talking to someone who gave an excuse for forgetting because “I’m X years old”. I said I’m 73. She was about 10 years younger than me. The look on her face was priceless.

Tempus fugit! ( and noncombackibus) … Today is the youngest son’s and his wife’s 20th wedding anniversary. Their oldest graduates from high school next week and their youngest will be 16 this year.

Well, let’s split the difference and say they could pass for a couple in their forties.

In life there is always an “almost”!

I told my daughter happy 60th birthday today and she went screaming out of the room.

June Cleaver has been kidnapped and Ellie has taken her place

He doesn’t have the potbelly yet, so that’s a good sign

What’s with this worry about aging? That is a natural part of life.

Wasn’t there some story about a painting that aged while its owner stayed young? How did that turn out?
