If he hasn’t given up, after all her exhortations to stop, she’ll get one card…. from poor, beleaguered Bob.
Maybe she can lug that over to Trout.
They’re about 10 or 11, probably 5th grade, maybe 6th… they get new teachers, but don’t seem to age, this being cartoon-land.
In most schools around here, it’s 1st through 4th graders who exchange valentines in class, and nowadays there’s usually an all-or-nothing rule… bring a card for everybody, or nobody.
So last year or the year before, Agnes might have had cards to lug… though 20 or 30 from the usual WalMart or Dollar Tree assortments would fit easily in a paper lunch sack.

Agnes might need a wheelbarrow to hall away all those cards she’ll get from Bob
