I believe everything in life can be a good time or a good story…

Comedy: you fall down the stairs.

Tragedy: I fall down the stairs.

I fell off a ladder and broke my leg while my wife was in labor. I was lying on the ground in pain and I thought, well someday this will be a funny story. Then I started to laugh and it hurt more and I laughed harder and it hurt more. Now it is just a ridiculous story.

This is a real family here – all with lots of faults and failures but sticking together and loving each other anyway. This is more real life than most comics….

Well comedy is all about the timing.

My philosophy of life is anything that happens is good if you can get a good story out of it and if it’s funny so much the better.
