Put a little weight on his foot? Hmm, how much does that plaster of Paris cast weigh? I have no idea. Is it a little weight? I imagine it looks like it is about 10 to 15 pounds. As heavy as a bowling ball dropped on your foot?

Now go to the roof of Charlie Brown’s house and make yourself useful.

What with that plaster cast on his foot, it’s amazing how he is able to keep his balance on the ridge of the doghouse roof in the last panel!

Why isn’t Snoopy the pampered pup in Charlie’s house? The few times I had a pet that needed surgery, there would be an extra member of the family in the house. And if he has to stay outside, then why not in HIS house? Oh, I know, I’m going and doing that thing, again, expecting realism with a comic strip, but this borders on cruelty to animals.

It’s not easy with a cast as big as that.
