Well you have a little more space to roam around but it’s still cold outside.

Why would he be tied up i a fenced in yard? So he doesn’t dig I guess!

What did Buckles even do that got him chained up in the yard anyway?

Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose…

No dog should be staked out on a chain and no dog should be left out in bad weather.

Good! Then we won’t have to see your stupid and non-funny comments!

Now Buckles, you have a bigger problem then you realize ……… you could get the chain your dragging caught somewhere you really don’t want to be ……. :(

Look, people, Buckles loves the cold, and he isn’t exactly in danger. He’s a domesticated dog with the mind of a human child with doggie instincts. He’s covered in fur. Let sleeping dogs lie and get over it! Besides, it’s not like Paul and Jill are beating him as punishment. The doghouse is a hands-off punishment that doesn’t involve any physical abuse. They don’t do this to him all the time, and when they do, well…Buckles hasn’t exactly been the good boy that many of you over-praise him to be. I like this comic strip, but there has to come a point where reality and fiction have to be separated before it’s taken too seriously. It’s an over-reaction. This is my opinion, say what you will against me. David Gilbert is an animal lover himself, and he dedicated 25 years of his life to bring us entertainment through his life’s perspectives.
