I don’t think that’s what she said, Phoebe.

How do you always picture the goblins sounding? I always imagined them sounding like a mix of Gollum and Stitch, but in the official audiobook adaptation of The Magic Storm, Dana herself voiced the goblins and gave them really ordinary and monotone-sounding voices.

I like the idea that if this were voice acted, goblin Dakota and Phoebe would have typical gobliny voices when blarting, but when they speak English from their perspective, they have their regular voices again.

Phoebe wasn’t near any other goblins when she went back to normal the first time. It’s possible that knowledge of the goblin language is the first thing to disappear, and losing the ability to understand Dakota is a sign that they’re just seconds away from returning to human form.

Now what’s Dakota’s input on Engelblart’s manuscript?

Anyone wants to bet they’ll cry after they’re done reading?

Time for Dakota to decide to stay permanently a Goblin?

It’s enlightening to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes. Gives us all a different perspective not directed by our prejudices or media driven propaganda…..

Surely there’s no reason for that kind of language.

That’s quite a blartful way of putting it.

Goblins are Unseelie, the darker side of the Fey. So are the feries of the blood.(Vampires)

Though not in this strip.

It will be interesting to see if either of them remembers what the book teaches them about being a goblin other than BLART.
