I have a hard time seeing how much food the younger generation wastes. And with all the info on healthy food and all, I know so many people who hardly ever eat green veggies.
Since Covid started much better about using everything up. Even so, with the garbage I put out tonight there was shredded pork from when husband had a half a can for dinner and then we froze the rest – in January 2022. Also the oldest of our leftover Chinese food rice – can’t keep up with using it – sometimes had 2 or 3 months worth in the refrigerator and we only take in once a week (Saturday date night dinner out substitute – followed by ditto movie substitute in the living room). So I try to keep it down to having a month’s worth of leftover rice.
Have gotten great though at putting together assorted leftovers for dinners – especially for me as I don’t eat a lot of what husband does – so cook for him, I eat leftovers.

Leftovers? What are — in this case — leftovers?

Ok, just don’t leave leftovers over the hill.

Heat them up good to take care of any bacteria buildup. Thus you don’t want any bad leftover smells.

I take it as my mission to make sure no leftovers get overlooked.

I’m definitely a Plugger! I eat mine and others in the house. They hardly ever eat theirs.
