Not where I thought this was going, but me likey. Larry has a few soft spots, and Junior is one.

Nice to see Junior again. I guess I thought he’d gone away to college.

I lost an hour today, it will take me until November 5th to find it.

It’s been months since Larry and his crocodile friends had made an appearance here; I was starting to think that Pastis had killed them off.

Larry is such a wonderful father. You could learn a few things from that guy.

That is one nice thing about being retired: I can go out and play most any day.

All I gotta say is that Larry better not come after me….I’ll fix him good this time!

Always make time for your children. They are the most important things in your life.

Anyone who thinks that spending an hour in the spring moving all their clocks forward and another hour in the fall moving all their clocks backward is a way of “making more time” is dumber than a croc.

I thought “zeeba” wasn’t a word (remember when Larry was on Jeopardy!?) – but the box says “zeeba trap”

People say that nobody can stop time, but that isn’t true. A friend of mine came by the other day and stopped a few minutes.

I walked past a house one day, and the father was in the garage working on a project with his kids. “Cat’s in the Cradle” was playing on their radio…

Perspective, which we need far more of, is always free.

I miss the crocs and the zeeba neighba. Nice to see Larry make a little sense when it comes to his son.

Larry is way more intelligent than a lot of people.

Calvin’s dad once had a similar epiphany, in a rare warm and fuzzy Calvin & Hobbes (it also had no dialog). Calvin’s dad is too busy to play with him in the snow, until he realizes what he’s missing. He goes outside and they have a great time together. The strip ends with Calvin in pajamas, kissing dad good night, while dad sits at his desk and continues with his work.

Set aside your “Zeeba B Dead” and spend time with Junior. A remarkably wise choice by Larry!
