I seem to remember that Rover’s biological grandmother’s name was Bump.
My wild guess is that’s the stairs leading up the forest ranger guard tower.
He can’t tell the difference between a staircase and a tree trunk when the staircase isn’t even obscured by snow? The kid definitely needs glasses.
