I read hours at a time during the day and I enjoy it. But that just puts off thinking about the things I should be doing until after I go to bed. That’s when insomnia makes its move. And I wonder why nothing ever gets finished. H-m-m-m-m-m
When I worked at Unisys (mainframe computers), our ad campaign showed us all walking around with CRT computer monitors as our heads, like we were thinking all the time.
I worked an order desk for a higher end plumbing wholesaler. There were 5 of us. Mostly young people and me. I outsold them by 30 to 40% every month because they spent their days on the internet avoiding picking up the phone. After two years I found out I was not made to work indoors at a desk. i understand several left after me but not by their own accord.

But now they’re actually requiring me to do some actual work! The university didn’t explain that when they gave my degree!

I always do my best thinking in the morning, but by 9 am, I’m shot for the day.
