Absolutely awesome artwork today, as well as fabulous fun funnies, which tremendously talented FoXo delivers with such splendid splendour!
1. Bozo determine to wins this race, whether horsie run or not.
2. Bozo learn to pick something of his own size.
3. For me? Why thanks you!
…
For those who come in late, these fabulous fun funnies was envisioned and executed so brilliantly by FoXo Reardon, a true master cartoonist who told his funny tales with his awesome artwork alone, without any of his characters in BOZO ever saying a single word.
An especially excellent epitome of pictures speaking thousand words, BOZO also the most pleasant picturesque pantomime where every panel is like a photograph of a three-dimensional cartoon world of realistic-looking depths and details. Such was his powerful perspective artwork which brought to life a lovely lively world of BOZO!
FoXo a rare combination of both sharp wits and artistic talents which is rarely seen together in the same cartoonist, a true master and professional cartoonist whose work quality speaks for itself and as you can see for yourself BOZO is pure gold coming from a golden era of cartooning! More about FoXo and BOZO in the About page.
So no wonder that these wonderful wordless wonders still bring great joy and sheer cheer to many even today.
But despite being a great classic of great creative calibre, neither BOZO nor FoXo are much known or remembered these days.
Spread the word, friends, so that BOZO can spread more joy and cheer to many many more!
…
And yes, yes of course another big thumbs up, big applause, and three cheers once again for the marvellous master FoXo’s magnificent masterpiece, the most pleasant picturesque pantomime, the ever entertaining ever energetic ever enjoyable ever excellent evergreen entertainer, the brilliantly beautiful and beautifully brilliant BOZO!
And yes of course many thanks to Micheal Reardon for bringing BOZO back for us all!
I feel the need to gush unashamedly about the artwork in all three of today’s selections, especially in “Horse Race or Man Race ?” , but where to begin ? The detail ? The perspective?
Also we gets to see different sorts of panels arrangements today.
Even when it just usual 4 panels only, 4 panels in 1st strip is spaced differently.
In second and third ones, what is typically 2nd panel is split into two panels.
Its sheer splendid skills of FoXo that he makes such splendid panels full of splendid artwork, all fit into such small space in a newspaper (which is what comics was originally meant for published on) so splendidly.
And what makes BOZO especially special is that it is FoXo’s fabulous artwork that does all the work of telling the funny tales, NO WORDS AT ALL!
Which is why FoXo’s BOZOLAND is a beautifully brilliant and brilliantly beautiful place, an excellent eternal evergreen entertainer.
1) A MAN AND HIS HORSE: Bozo in a hard race so rough it was almost football on hooves. He wins the race carrying his horse!
2) BICYCLES FOR 2: Bozann on a bicycle diminutive Bozo cannot ride the same kind of bike and gets a tricycle and catches up to her!
3) EQUANIMITY OF TRADE: Bozo accidentally gets a silver dime dropped in his hat, he offers the money in his hat to a hobo who takes his hat and the money and walks away!
HORSE RACE OR MAN RACE- By the looks of #7 in the last panel, Bozo had to resort to getting FIST to Eye with the plug….some jockeys use a whip, Bozo uses Sock To The Eye. BICYCLE & TRICYCLE- Seems like Bozo is having problems “RIDING” these days. FAIR EXCHANGE- Well pass your wealth down, but to some a coin does not say wealth like a nice cigar.

1 As long as they both cross the finish line at the same time, should be copacetic. Right Bozo? ( Wild Horses—Rolling Stones)
2 Getting something the right size for the rider is half the battle. Right Bozo? ( Secondhand Rose—Barbara Streisand)
3 Bozo suspects something ain’t right here. (Money—Pink Floyd)

3) Bozo ended up helping someone more in need than himself ♡

1. Sometimes, it’s easier and quicker to take matters into your own hands.
2. It’s tailored to fit.

1 – I think it counts, after all the rider was mounted when they crossed the finish line.
And that panel three is beauty that might bring a tear to my eye. It’s like a scene out of a Damon Runyon movie adaptation.

1•> 7 beats 11, show your horse how it’s done, Bozo.
2•> Proper fit is important!
3•> Bad trade, Bozo. Your new hat won’t hold any coins.
❗Really nice artwork today.

1) And at the wire, Bozo carries Buckin’ Bronc to a win by a length!
2) Unfortunately, Bozo can’t carry that bicycle like his horse, so he settles for a trike his size.
3) The coin Bozo got in panel 2 probably won’t cover acquiring a new hat.

By hook or crook, Bozos winning this horse race…..
If at first, you don’t succeed, tricycle again!

Great strips. I can’t quite make out, but even with the contortions our hero goes through in #1 it appears he doesn’t lose his stogie!
