I wonder how soon after the space walk the astronauts lose their finger nails and do they also lose their toe nails?

Well, I hope those viruses don’t seed and multiply up in the clouds, or we’re all wet.

Astronauts spending long periods up in spacecraft also suffer bone loss, and the effects of exposure to long term solar radiation, as on a trip to Mars, are not fully known.

I wonder if Hawking thought that computer AI itself could eventually come to act as a “life form”.

Hate to say it, but Mr. Hawking is right.

I once lost a fingernail (not spacewalking, but a car repair mishap, believe it or not). I was amazed to learn how important fingernails are: without a fingernail to impart structural integrity, your fingertip (beyond the underlying bone) just bends.

Having lost a fingernail once, all I can say is OUCH! And I’m now getting phantom pains 40 years later!

Why do the astronauts lose their fingernails?

Stephen Hawking also believed that his beer was flat. This is what prompted him to quit drinking it and begin his journey into useless goobledygook. ~ Walter Dorkowitz, Proud Flat Earther and Tinfoil Hat Salesman Extraordinaire

Makes me wonder if Stephen Hawking was just making everything up and everyone was too scared to call him on it.

He probably thought falling dominoes were a form of life too

The Death Star was inspired by “Muni Mula” from old “Ruff and Ready” cartoons.

If your whole personality and entire ability to communicate with the outside world resides in a computer, you’d probably have a different viewpoint about computer viruses, too

Hawking was close. People that write computer viruses are a degenerate form of life.

No one saw the heart shape on Pluto either, and didn’t suspect it would be the Planetoid of Love

Hawking was most famous within astrophysics for his theory about black holes leaking radiation—-the Hawking Radiation.

Hawking was a great physics theorist and writer, but I don’t believe his theories about black holes were ever confirmed by astronomical evidence. Thus, unlike Einstein, Hawking never won a Nobel Prize.

Actually our own star will become a Death Star red giant in 4 Billion years or so, if climate change doesn’t get us before then.

Don’t expect any local movies about that, as Hollywood will be sunk into the Pacific Ocean.
