Yeah, nobody likes it when their shoes get chewed up, because they while they do attract attention, it won’t be the kind of attention you’re expecting.
Buckles …… you probably should have stopped before you started ….. of course it would have been better to “NOT” chew Jill’s expensive shoes ……. just a thought …… :)
I just had to make a stop at a drugstore. I parked my car next to a large SUV, and got out of my car. I found myself face-to-face, inches from the largest dog head I ever saw! He was just sniffing me, didn’t seem dangerous, so I just said a perky, “Hi there!” and went into the store. I looked around, found a man who looked like the right person, and asked him if that was his dog outside. He smiled and said yes. I told him his dog looked really sweet and gentle, and asked his breed. Cane corso! I guess I was lucky he seemed to like my smell and I didn’t smell like fear. I am sure he could smell my beagle on me, even though she was at home. Same response when I got back to my car – I opened my car door, and his head popped up, sniffing.
We have to tie the (louvred) closet doors shut to keep the cats out…so just closing the door doesn’t always do it. The worst I ever had was a kitten who piddled in a shoe I didn’t like that much anyway.

And whose fault is it that the closet, where the shoes are, had the door open for Buckles? Who should be sitting in the basement all alone?

Buckles you should do what my dog does; sniff them then rub your body on them. Its a form of love when they want your sent on them.
