Aw, c’mon, Jill! He deserves something better than a musty old unwanted ottoman. We have a small sunroom off the dining room, where Finn has his very own upholstered wingback chair to sit in and watch out a window to keep an eye on what’s going on outside. When we bought that chair, we knew it would be the dog’s. No one else would have a reason to sit there. It’s a small, pretty little room with 5 windows and just a desk, Finnegan’s chair, and plants on stands.
My dog has her own seat on the sofa with her very own blankies on it. On occasion she will move to another seat on another piece of furniture, probably when I am getting up and down too often for her beauty sleep. She also will use her dog beds when she chooses to. She is well behaved – otherwise, she would have to ask permission to come aboard furniture, etc.

You know Jill, dog’s sense of smell is 1000 to 10000 greater then that of a human!

If it smells bad, just give it a good old washing.

I thought dogs loved things that stink

That’s because the basement is where you will be if you go on any of the other furniture…..

Are they really so devoid of seating space that they can’t let a little dog lie on the couch?

At least Jill didn’t put YOU in the basement with it.

I put pet covers on the couch and chairs, the cats love them.
