Now, I am REALLY wondering “which home” they are heading to? Pre-mutation? or back to a Wally/Holly time? Round and round we go, wherever we stop, nobody knows!!
Curious… is that entire lattice a means of transportation, or does one touch a single intersection point for a particular gate to a particular destination? Marx will demonstrate how it works, but I suspect it’s not as simple as Marx is implying.
I too am wondering where/when Marx thinks “home” is. Maybe to where Kirbee and Chic are?
This was definitely worth the wait!!! Love the self-confident (smug?) expression on Marx’ face in panel 4. He seems to be picking up the whole gateway thing as if it were a net and covering all of them with it.
It seems to me that back in the day it was not uncommon to see formica with patterns like that. I don’t recall any gates to parallel worlds opening up, however.
Of course Marx was well aware of the whole Gateway project and the flawed genius of Professor Amesworth and Ravenscroft, as well as most everything that Eye was/is up to. I hope they wander down to the shore were the Marx Multitude gathered the remnants of Eden; Kirby & Chic deserve a reunion with Wally, and just maybe Duffy can find is little brother.
Curious if this will take us back to the four-panel format. Also VERY curious if Aaron plans on any further books, and if so, how these past months will be adapted. I’m quite eager to buy more books as soon as they’re available!
This is easy for Marx. He’s done this gate jumping for a long time. Go back to the origin Marx and Free Energy he was responsible for Eden. The plant of the Free Energy was known as Project Eden. Getting back was not the problem for Marx. It was taking Eye out of the mix. However there are still problems back at Endtown. Topsiders are still probably mutant killing. Not to mention the internal issues in Endtown. There is still work to be done.

My hope is that Wally starts to learn this stuff from Marx. And if he can get his dittos back, he’ll be able to create these things at will.

Amazing artwork as usual from Mr. Neathery! The change in viewpoints in the last 4 panels is masterful!
And yes Aaron, it is long past time to “hit the road.”
