It has something to do with a candy shop. I miss Shirley Temple

no more songs when cleaning

There are things even Shirley Temple can’t salvage.

On the other hand, many dogs would love this version. Litter box=cookie jar.

Definiately don’t sign while cleaning, but that is an interesting thought.

My wife and I met the adult Shirley Temple. We were at the Foreign Service Institute studying Chinese in 1988 and she was there studying Czech in preparation for her assignment as ambassador to that country. She was very pleasant and easy to talk to. My wife is 5’1" and Ms. Temple was only an inch taller than her.

A necessary ‘EW’ job! Singing helps, I’m sure!

Old age numbs the sense of smell. I can do the cat litter free of nausea.

NOT one of my favorite chores….my cats know enough to stay away from me for awhile afterwards for their own protection.

Hahaha, I’ll have to show my wife this one. Right after I clean the coffee off the monitor and keyboard.

You’re on a roll honey girl! I’m stealing, ‘ahem’, sharing this one too.

I often make up songs while doing chores. This morning was something about a bridge over scrubbing bubbles.

I am going to sing that as I clean each of my 6 litter boxes. Thank you Amanda!

When my oldest son was 5 he saw an old Shirley Temple film, and fell madly in love with her not knowing that she was not only no longer a little girl, but had died years before he was born.

I suppose there may have been litter boxes on The Good Ship Lollipop, but I’m having a hard time visualizing it.
